Wood House Construction
This poster delivers complex information to an audience. Building off the theme "explain building", I chose to show the basic joinery techniques for wood houses.
Full Poster The four different construction styles are separated by alternating teal and white color blocks. The left side of the poster shows the general framing style of each house, setting up a direct comparison between the styles. The right side of the poster displays details of the joinery methods and support structures specific to each style of house.
Details The poster keeps to a sketchy yet architectural style. The drawings are simplified. The type is reflective of architecture and construction, with rough stencil-style display type, industrially-influenced subheading type, and text type reminiscent of a draftsman's hand.
